Hi Rowland, I thank you for your answer to my questions. I understand B-29organization and also you had have Loran system just before the end of the war. Up until that time you had used celestial Navigation I am amazing. I thought you had have a Loran all the time during Pacific War.I had flew with Loran between '67 to '71 without Navigator all over the Pacific area until 747Jumbo Jet came with INS. It's a very funy story,that you could tuned Hamamatsu commercial radio station and homing to there. I was born 1931 March at Kofu. When Kofu city was attacked, I was 14 years old,Junior Hi. student. The night of the 6th July '45 I was waked up by sound of B-29, round 11 o'clock. Did you come to Kofu with formation flight? some of my friend told me "I saw a formation flight of B-29" but I did not think so. Most people had escaped from city to the country side earlier,but I and my father had stayed in our residence and fought againstfire. Many bombs were falling down like a rain shawer. The southern half of the city was completely destroyed, we had lived in the southern area indeed, I was almost killed.

Big fire induced strong wind like Tornado. Evry thing was blowed away.house and tall trees. I heared some B29 were forced to change their axis of attack to avoid flying through smoke columns. Is that right? About one hour past from bigining of attack there happend strong whirl wind. May be this hot wind went up to the highaltitude and caught up your airplane.Whirl wind was blowing with debris and small fire ball.I and my dad took refuge into the house but house had caught fire soon.we could not stay inside,I had escaped from the house.but I could not walk or stand becouse wind was strong fire was so hot.I had laid down into narrow ditch. I felt a pain and breath with difficulty.this time I remembered there is a small pond near hear.I had crept to the pond with blind walk ,I could not open my eyes due to dense smoke and fire.Finally I had reached the pond I had dived into water. I had stayed in the pond and I had had a wet towel on my face sometime had sunk mybody into water until I need a breath.I had repeated this procedure until dawn. On finally, water of the pond became hot water like bath tab. There were three other people in the pond but all of them had killed exept me.
