Superfortress Then and Now
It has been said that the B-29's won W.W.II and saved countless
lives because our men never had to land on Japanese soil. This
war was won in the air and turned the tide on the entire
war. We Americans owe the lifestyle we are living NOW to
those who fought THEN... an important message that has failed
to be delivered to those of us who are fortunate enough to have
never lived through war. This mailing list is dedicated
to those men and women and this fabulous machine! |
ArmyAirForces.com

a research resource that lists over 100 separate Heavy and Very
Heavy Bombardment Groups and their points of contact. The scope
of this site is limited to units that served in the United States
Army Air Forces of World War II.
Thanks to Scott Burris for the use of the Square P logo used throughout
the 39th Bomb Group site. |

for controlling the design and construction of U.S. military monuments
and markers in foreign countries by other U.S. citizens and organizations,
both public and private; and encouraging the maintenance of such

Noseart Screensaver - this screen saver was created
by Oscar Everitt, it contains about 30 images of noseart that
Oscar "colorized from black & while photos. As
with some noseart appearing on B-29s, these images do contain
some nudity - if you are offended by such - then don't download.
Webmaster's note: I have been running this screensaver with no
problems. |
