He was born in Richmond, Virginia, on September 11, 1921.

He served in the United States Army Air Force from October 1942 until January 1946, first in the 94th Infantry and later in the 39th Bomb Group during WWII and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, an Air Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon with four battle stars, WWII Victory Ribbon, an America Theater Ribbon, and an Overseas Service Bar for his service in the USAAF.

After leaving the service, Milt graduated from the University of Richmond. Upon graduation from college he joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Special Agent, where he served until retirement in 1977.

Milt was also a member of the Elks Lodge, Ashlar Lodge #98 F&AM Lodge, the St. Augustine Shrine Club, and the Former Special Agents of Jacksonville.

Milt and his wife Jentry were married for 62 years. He had daughters Nancy and Susan and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild

Milton T. Cummings, Jr., age 83, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2005.
