T/Sgt Clarence "Bully" Beevers was replaced Lt. Scheider, 61st Sqd Engineering Officer, after Crew 31 lost Beevers. "Bully" flew the 28 April mission with Crew 26 which was rammed by a fighter over Japan and ditched off the coast.

Crew 26 and Beevers were sighted for 2 days in rafts but weather prevented rescue ships from picking them up. The third day, they were not found. It was hoped they might be Prisoners of War but no such luck.
