Pfc Ronald Patrick Jemmott
Medical Aidman

Born: 15 Feb 1924 Springfield Gardens, Long Island
Died: 27 Dec 2002 Amsterdam, NY

He was a son of Walter B. and Muriel Edna Toppin Jemmott, with 3 brothers and and 3 sisters.

Mr. Jemmott received his education in the Springfield Gardens school system, and was employed as a captain and tug boat operator with Kehoe Transportation. He was also captain of "The Poplar Mist", Fultonville, NY, and was manager of NY Self Storage, Amsterdam, NY.

Ronald married, Margherita Gentilesco on September 28, 1946; he has 4 children, 2 sons and 2 daughters, 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; Margherita passed away January 17, 1998

He enjoyed bowling and participated in many area leagues.

Interment is at Stanislaus Cemetery Amsterdam, NY

Updated: 02 Feb 2005 - Jemmott's name was found on SO 136 dated 1 July 1945 Issued by HQ 39th Bomb Group "Promotion List" as having a MOS (Military Occupational Speciality) of "657" Medical Aidman and a promotion to the rank of Pfc.

Previously his name appears on GO 25 Battle Participation Award (Bronze Battle Star) dated 16 Aug 1945 and a 61st Squardon EM Roster dated 15 September 1945.
