S/Sgt Francis Stafford Anderson
Electrical Mechanic

Francis Stafford Anderson was born October 12, 1915 in West Point, KY., but lived in Samuels, Ky. most of his life.

His fellow electricians on Guam nicknamed him "Andy F-I-I-VE" because there was a 2nd Anderson in his group and to rib him about his Southern accent.

He worked for Schenley Distilleries, married Emily Gunther of Louisville, and had two daughters, Ann Stafford and Susan.

They lived on a farm where Stafford divided his time between the distillery, his beloved farm,(still in the family) and his mother's general store.

He kept in touch with his Army buddies for years exchanging Christmas cards.

Stafford was transferred to Tullahoma TN to be head distiller for Geo. Dickel Distillery in 1963. He later retired from Jack Daniels Distillery and moved to New Albany with his wife to be closer to family and eight grandchildren.

Franics Stafford Andeson took his Final Flight on April 10, 1995
and is buried in Samuels, KY.
