 04 June 2024:
 Navy SeaBee Melvin L. Hicks took his final cruise  on 16 May 2024. Although He was a seabee .. he found his way to 39th Bomb Group Association after learning that Crew 33 had nicked named their B-29 "Fifty-Second SeaBees." Right away he and his wife, Jenette bonded with the veterans of 39th BG (VH) and as such his named has been added to the Final Flight Honor Roll of our site.                        10 Sept   2018:  Added James J. White  to Honor Roll. James White was the last of his crew to take his final flight.  04 June   2010:  Added John J. Peny to Honor Roll - per WWII Enlistment Record he was born in 1907and entered the service from Adams Co. Colorado; per Social Security Death Index entry John Peny born 1907 last resided in Denver, Colorado.
 Added Frederick W. Dock to Honor Roll -  per WWII Enlistment Record he was born in 1922 and entered the service from North Carolina; per Social Security Death Index entry for Frederick W. Dock born 1922 was found SS Number was issued in North Carolina. There was only one SSDI entry for Frederick W. Dock.
